Initial reports of the Tiger Woods car accident appear to have been overstated. First indicati
ons were that he had been seriously injured in a car accident just outside his Florida home around 3am on Friday 27th November.

Tiger was just turning out of his driveway and ran into a fire hydrant which jolted the car off course and into a tree.

He was taken to a nearby medical center with what had been reported as serious injuries that might be life threatening. However further reports indicate that his injuries are relatively minor and amount to bruises and scrapes.

Indications about how the accident occurred are still unclear, but police are investigating the incident and have said that charges are pending.

No doubt the golf fraterinty is breathing a sigh of relief to hear that their number one draw card has not been seriously injured.

It is still unclear why Tiger was heading out at 3am in the morning and why the normally calm golfer appears to have lost control of his vehicle in unusual circumstances.

Police have issued a report to indicate that alcohol and vehicle failure have been ruled out, so it appears to be human error. At least we know now that Tiger Woods is actually human and does make mistakes. Maybe there is still hope for the rest of us mere mortals.

Great article. Well done.

Just a few hours ago I was reading the reports in the paper and to say they were over stated is an understatement.

I like Tiger Woods, I hope this is not the beginning of some Hollywood downward spiral and ducking the paparazzi everywhere.

P.S. Did you know that the word paparazzi is now in the dictionary? I am sure celebs looking up the definition expect to see "Gremlins or ...." Sorry PG rated. Talk about irony.

This is too bad, but, as they say, nothing good ever happens after mid-night. Tiger has kids, a wife, and is on top of the world... he blew it on this one.

Good article. I too wrote a recent article about Tiger Woods only with a different venue. I too hope the mistress thing is not true. I hate to see families destroyed. Thanks for sharing. Linda D
